+5,5dB Turbo Boost for the Roland XP60 music workstation
The XP80 and JV1080 are internally equal to the XP60.

On stage it could come in handy if there was a kind of Boost pedal available. As long as you press the pedal, the volume will be +5,5dB louder. Real handy with solo's.

This pedal is actually a volumepedal with two positions; not pressed is -5,5dB and pressed is 0dB (maximum) Would you pull the pedal out of the XP60 then you'll have the same effect as if the pedal would have been pressed, maximum volume.

Use one of the pedal inputs (click "system/control/control") and adjust them to: (Assign) CC11:Expression (Output) INT (Polarity) standard

Be aware that you use the right type of pedal; a standard pedal has a normally closed switch, in other words; not pressed it shorts the pedal input. By pressing the pedal, the switch opens and this way the connection between the two wires of the pedal input are disconnected.

Without adaptions any ordinary standard (sustain- or hold-) pedal should lower the volume totally. The wire to the switch must be interrupted by a resistor of 220k. A lower value creates a bigger contrast in the volume between pressed and not pressed. The best place for that interruption is inside the housing of the pedal.

I recommand you to use the sustain- or holdpedal to the left since it has some similarities with a car's clutch. The boost pedal could be the gas pedal. (I hope that it's the same with British cars...)
